Burnaby

Maple Ridge is located on the north shore of the Fraser River. In 2014 Maple Ridge residents voted to change the status from district municipality to city.

New Westminster located on the banks of the Fraser River was the capital of British Columbia from 1858 until 1866. The city is usually referred to as New West.

Pitt Meadows is the second largest of the Tri-Cities and  officially became a city in 1914.

Port Coquitlam sits at the confluence of the Fraser River and the Pitt River. Commonly referred to as “PoCo”, it officially became a city in 1913.

Named after Colonel Moody, Port Moody achieved city status in 1913. Port Moody is the smallest of the Tri-Cities.

Richmond is a coastal city in the Lower Mainland located along the Fraser River and achieved city status on 1990. It is the fourth largest city in British Columbia.

Surrey, located on the south of the Fraser River and north of the Canada–US border, is the second largest city by population in British Columbia. Surrey achieved city status in 1993.

Vancouver is the largest city in British Columbia and was incorporated in 1886. Vancouver is famous for being the official host city of the 2010 Winter Olympics.

 

Vancouver Island is Canada’s 11th largest island and is the second most populous island in the country.

West Vancouver is a waterfront community contained by the mountains to the north, Burrard Inlet and Howe Sound to the south and west. The city was formed in 1912.

White Rock, established in 1957 boasts a beautiful coastline, beaches, pier and a range of trendy restaurants and coffee bars. It borders Semiahmoo Bay to the south and Surrey
